The upcoming December 2011 Monthly Craft Market

November was fabulous, and from the feedback we've gotten everyone really had a great time. Don't you want to be a part of that in December?

The December Monthly Craft Market
The Doris Bardon Community Cultural Center
716 North Main Street
Gainesville Florida
Saturday, December 10, 2011
10 AM - 2 PM

There is some on-street parking on that stretch of Main Street, and also a small parking lot behind The Doris. If you are heading South on Main, you will want to turn right immediately after those fabulous glass windows at The Doris -- it may look like an alley between The Doris and the next building, but it's actually the drive to get into the parking lot. Should you miss that turn, you can always turn at the next street and go around the block as the parking lot is open in the back.

We are excited to have back such vendors as Crafty Mama Bee and HaldeCraft.... and a few more surprises that you'll have to come by to see!

The November 2011 Monthly Craft Market in review

I may be biased, but I think the November market was the most fun we'd had yet! Between the live music (violin and accordion), the food (did you get some of that goat cheese?!) and the new vendors (a lot of fresh, new, happy faces!) we really, really had a great time!

The September 2011 Monthly Craft Market in review

While I personally was unable to make the September Craft Market, three good friends of mine took such fabulous care of my booth that month that I feel like I was there. They even sent me pictures of my booth, but for the life of me I can not figure out how to get them off my phone and share them with you... so you'll just have to imagine it.

The Market was again held at The Doris, and it looks like that may become the permanent home for our little market. We hope that you'll come join us, either as vendor, musician, or fan, for the next one!

The August 2011 Monthly Craft Market in review

For this craft market we moved to The Doris Bardon Community Cultural Center, which is really a perfect match for us. We want a community-centered arts and craft market, and they're taking an active roll in promoting arts in our community. The space is easily twice as large as The Tabernacle... so even though we had about the same amount of vendors for this month as in July, it felt open and almost empty in the middle. See all that room for more tables? Don't you want to have a table to showcase your wares? You know you do! Contact information is on the sidebar. So ends my subliminal message, heh. Anyway, you can see that we still had a great time, and before the event was even half over, I was already looking forward to September.

The July 2011 Monthly Craft Market in review

The July Craft Market was the third one, and the last one held at The Tabernacle. It seemed as if we were already outgrowing that small, but very lovely, space. I had brought my spinning wheel for the first time, and many people were interested in watching me spin (which I love to do, so that worked out well!). There were also great snacks, good music, and the widest variety of vendors we'd had so far. I was right across from Hollow Bound Books, and am still kicking myself that I didn't even have five minutes to go look at them!

The June 2011 Monthly Craft Market in review

The second Monthly Craft Market was held in June, and was just as much fun as the first one! Things were very lively, with people coming and going almost right up until closing time. There was a great mix between new vendors and people who had also been there in May, and over all everyone seemed to have a great time. I believe this was the widest musical variety, even now, that we've had. Some of those musicians really need to come back! I loved the drums!
